Nació en La Habana, Cuba en 1950. Reside en Puerto Rico dede el 1961. Obtuvo un grado de Bachillerato en Arquitectura de la Universidad de PUerto Rico en 1975. En 1977, recibe la Beca Cintas. En 1980, abandona la práctica de la arquitectura para dedicarse de lleno a su trabajo artístico, y se desarrolla como diseñador gráfico.
Como grabador ha recibido premios en lso siguientes certámenes: Cuarto Certámen de Artes Plásticas de la Universidad de Puerto Rico en 1975: Certámen de la Revista Sin Nombre en 1981; y Certámen del Colegio de Abogados en 1982. Algunas de las exposciones más importantes en las que ha participado son : 25 Años de la Gráfica Puertorriqueña, Chase Manhattan Bank, 1977; Gráfica y poseía Puertorriqueña, Galería Antillana, Caracas, Venezuela, 1979.
